INTRODUCING NEW YORKVILLE HOME DECOR STORE, MONSOONS…RECYCLING THE PAST

20131214_151523Welcome to the neighbourhood….located at 144 Yorkville Ave in Toronto, you’ll find a lovely new home decor store called MONSOONS [ www.monsoons.ca ] that offers beautiful, affordable luxuries to brighten any home, apartment, condo or loft. Most of the furniture is recycled or repurposed pieces from India, which is also the source for most of the soft furnishings, with beautiful silk scarves and wraps handcrafted in Tibet, Nepal and other S. Asian countries.

20131214_150551 20131214_150554 20131214_150707I found a number of stunning floor vases that would look amazing in my foyer (or yours) and the cushions were delightful…especially the Audrey Hepburn prints – who couldn’t use a little Holly Golightly in their life?!

Lots of bling and sassy jewellery for the party season and a ton of great gift ideas. I really liked the black and white vases so I’m “hinting” now for my own Christmas must-have list….are you listening, Santa?  All very affordable, unique and fun.

I really encourage you to visit this lovely new boutique, enjoy the warm ambiance and charming customer service. And I dare you not to walk out without a little somethin’-somethin’!
