JOSEPH PROCOPIO, the wunderkind Canadian writer/director who, at just 18yrs old, has won 35+ int’l film festival awards and been voted one of the “Top Ten Canadians Under 25” by Macleans Magazine, dropped in today to the Smithee TV studios for a chat with Katie Uhlmann, host of www.KatieChats.com
The newly-shorn filmmaker shared stories from his first filmmaking efforts at age 9 (incidentally, at the same age as his hero, Steve Spielberg, started making films) to his latest short film, “Sundae”, which is currently being submitted to the major film fests including Oscar boosters Rhode Island, Toronto Int’l Film Fest, Sundance, Cannes, Chicago, the Hamptons and Heartland.
Over this summer, Joseph starts work on the script for his first feature film planned for shooting summer of 2014.
